Heartstrings
Mar. 6th, 2020 11:38 amKindness mistaken for disinterest
Who you are, not unseen
When you speak, I hear you
In some ways, your eyes, I fear you
Not only one, many
There are reasons seen by few, known by less
There must have been purpose to this test
Always at my worst, never my best
Soon shall this earthly presence be seen
Perhaps with its wings spread, eyes as they gleam
For now there is such depth to my soul, always to be
Never to change the color of my heart
I will do as I can, only to be torn apart
Only to begin again
Who you are, not unseen
When you speak, I hear you
In some ways, your eyes, I fear you
Not only one, many
There are reasons seen by few, known by less
There must have been purpose to this test
Always at my worst, never my best
Soon shall this earthly presence be seen
Perhaps with its wings spread, eyes as they gleam
For now there is such depth to my soul, always to be
Never to change the color of my heart
I will do as I can, only to be torn apart
Only to begin again
