Undermined (poem)
Jan. 19th, 2020 06:23 amHow's it to you, not looking at you
Never looking straight on through, it's true
Love does trump lust when all is a must
Friendship and kindness, that bittersweet trust
If all that I am could be all that you are
Could you realize then when it's taken too far
So far to pass long beyond paths once chosen
Ways to break through the walls once frozen
In all of the ways I could choose to deny
Learning things slowly as all of us try
No ways to teach without speaking to ghosts
Actions invisible, meaning the most
A true and deep wish I could say what you've taken
Facts you have turn into manipulation
I'd hate you but there is so little known
While all this disfigurement's breaking my bones
I'd never request I be the only one
I know that's the knowledge that sets with the sun
I only request that the ones not believing
Please walking away, take your coats while you're leaving
He said with a sigh and his bag on his shoulder
Unbelieving I'd ever get older
Could there be less time than there is in a day
To hold onto our dreams and to be as we say
Loving you all, fearing the words
Not being willing to let this be heard
When not in my character, questioning motives
As being a toon is so much less emotive
Never looking straight on through, it's true
Love does trump lust when all is a must
Friendship and kindness, that bittersweet trust
If all that I am could be all that you are
Could you realize then when it's taken too far
So far to pass long beyond paths once chosen
Ways to break through the walls once frozen
In all of the ways I could choose to deny
Learning things slowly as all of us try
