George Carlin was very angry... and he had a point

George Carlin quote that sums up some of my argument for anti-natalism. It's not so much a partisan issue as a systemic and often religious to pseudo-religious thing and it's not worth having kids at all until we sort out this insanity:

“Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren't they? They're all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you're born, you're on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don't want to know about you. They don't want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you're preborn, you're fine; if you're preschool, you're fucked.”

Fallen Angels (1995)

I just watched Fallen Angels (1995) last night and I was absolutely enthralled by the cinematography with that ultrawide lens. The shots flowed so smooth and brilliantly. There was more intention behind the visual choices than any word spoken.

Yeah, it all tied to together in the end. It might have been the translation but the dialogue was vague and lacked any semblance of nuance. The movie just slapped you in the face with concepts and showed them in the coolest ways imaginable.

I did sit through it, hoping it would get better. I would also do it again.
