"Brand Loyalty" around "action" cams
Jan. 1st, 2026 01:59 pmPeople talk about favorite brands and that’s fine for certain things. Technology? Not exactly. Dji has been after GoPro’s spot for a while but the Osmo Action 5 Pro was that first release that actually made GoPro purists think for a minute.
The Osmo Action series may not be as rugged or well-storied as GoPro’s Hero line but it’s really making efforts to provide more dynamic range and cinema quality video… great for lovers of post-processing.
The Action 6 features an adjustable aperture… and I’m interested in seeing where dji is going with this camera.
This is the sort of thing you scan forums, reviews and rumors for instead of buying an earlier release “just ‘cause I can afford it.”
