A Prism of Life
Feb. 27th, 2020 10:03 pmWhat's in a color, dividing each other
Questions arise about your eyes
Why, how is this unknown to me, what I should see
When I look in the mirror, how could this be
Like a shade under lenses such beauty to free
A prism is always desired with its fires
As if one shade of blue could be known
What you've shown, learned this moment
Seen for its first, replacing the windows to my soul
As if it's his will to force hands to turn while my confidence burns
no choice in this, something amiss, I question it
Curiosity, what's in this color for me
I can see with them, see them, would never be them
Longing so drastically to free them
Making the wrong choices in life
Cover them, oppose them, close them
I suppose we all chose them, but what then
The touch, divine and unique, like you, unlike all
Too sweet to express distaste, the beauty in this blue
Just like you
