What Are You Looking For

In there a minute to pass with it's timing,
There will be presence discovered from rhyming,
I will not break this dysfunctional world,
For all of it's faults through it's beauty we're hurled,
Calling on angels to lend you a hand,
Where is there hope when you can't leave this land,
There are more than a million places to be,
So many things in this world left to see,
There is no place for me sitting in place,
You see me there with a smile on my face,
It hurts more to be than to leave you know,
Knowing for years where I've wanted to go,
There is so much love in the lights of the city,
All of the world with it's shine looking pretty,
This one is old and it's time for a change,
There's places for all of us passion uncaged

We Are The Youth

Why you end an era beginning,
I will never know,
Here we had a place now thinning,
There for all to show,
The brighter, whiter lacking fame,
All of our hearts stand,
Facebook, twitter, all the same,
Sitting there so bland,
Why not keep your hands on pulses,
Make the cities rise,
For those of us who fear the causes,
A part of us will die,
I wanted to return to you,
Some dark and somber night,
I hoped you'd share and see me through,
When I had lost my sight,
Please attempt retrieval of what darkness means to some,
Keep glowing lights in flight,
For I am but one soul to love what you had once begun,
My Jet, my man, a loss that isn't right

A Reason

Reach past your fears and fight the pain,
For futures to be found,
Beat snarling demons, hidden shame,
Let life become unbound,
Walk streets unknown with open arms,
Watching starry skies,
With head held high, display your charm,
See life with open eyes,
Where once was secret beauty,
You'll find ways to define,
There now could be so truly,
A love to span all time,
A new decade comes unwritten,
Find reasons in your rhyme

The City's Lights

This is something that you should remember,
Were you allowed to or will you dismember,
The sins of the past or the burdens of now,
The ways you were broken when you took your bow,
Don't look away from the world of today,
Never back down and don't let yourself sway,
Hold fast your heart and keep burning your flame,
For nothing in life that is lost can be gained,
In absence of memory, hold now this moment,
Forgetting the past and acquiring a movement,
You've all you once were and all you are here,
Worth more to the world than bittersweet fear,
The hour's upon us to break down a wall,
Knowing it's not to be stopped once it falls,
If all there is left the nothing we want,
Then there's everything left to be wished for and saught,
Your future arrives in another few hours,
This day now half through you still hold all the power,
Become something greater, be better than you,
Be honest and beautiful, be there and be true

Peace Flows

Take a walk and breathe the same,
Make your way on through the rain,
Feel it fall upon your face,
Feel at ease in any place,
Beauty in and beauty out,
All the peace you find throughout,
Happiness will come with time,
Excercise is not a crime,
All the steps as you unwind,
Align your chakras, intertwined,
Calm will fall upon more quickly,
Each morning you will feel less sickly,
Peace does flow like liquid dreams,
Find you're glowing at the seems,
Smile much wider knowing love,
Within yourself from skies above,
These days are ours, don't let them go,
For now is time to let them know,
Who you once were so long ago

Reflection

Back for a moment to eat something good,
Hoping the future is better than such,
Now to visit where we lived,
Maybe to visit her grave would be too much,
I'll walk for a bit and maybe sing,
Become one with the snow as it falls,
Watch it slowly drifting through the air,
Hear the city call,
