We attempt to change our future

And cannot change our past

The present is uncertain yet the future never lasts

Undying are our virtues

Of anger hate and greed

But the future we are writing is of hope instead of need

We crave this for creation

And crave it for ourselves

For the present is uncertain and the past is dust on shelves

Still keeping to our morals

We step forth with heavy hearts

Knowing all our sins will haunt us if from dust they do not part

There is something in the water

There must be I am sure

For there’s no way we should find ourselves in hate if ever pure

There could be something missing

There could be something more

But I know this feeling guides us filled with trust unlike before

As the world around us changes

And the world within us stays

There is hope within creation armed with power without praise

The strength within a moment

A grin, a smile, a laugh

It is time now for creation as we set upon our path
