Notes and ideas... my primary goal is to record and photograph local flow performers, dancers, musicians etc. I've started prepping an entire stage kit. My 7' scrim is part of that... and I'll certainly find myself needing more than the 2 C-Stands I currently own.
...sort of considering an immediate replacement GoPro because I'd like to ensure I have all helpful accessories for whatever dad's going to do with his Viper and automotive events or boating events.
I have 1x GVM SD200b, PL60b, Zhiyun CF100 (lower output for RGB)... and an Amaran Ace 25c
So there's room for growth, expansion and imagination.
2x GVM SD200B can be powered on my EcoFlow River 2 Max for probably an hour... 1 can run for ~2 hours. That means I might not need to invest in expensive V-Mount batteries for some time.
PL60b and PL60c are powered by NP batteries. PL60b is about 9000 Lux and the PL60c is ~6000 lux.
A PL60c would still be my most powerful RGB constant light.
SmallRig sells a 4x charger and NP battery set for ~190 (buy at least 2 maybe double or triple that)
Prime investment *might be* GVM 800D RGB panel x2
...however, I think the PL60c might be an ideal next light.
Followed by (or preceded by) 4x GVM BD25R 24” tube lights (at least) My goal is really 4x 48" tubes but the 24's can stack and 24" is still a versatile size... also running on NP batteries.
All investments listed are ~$200 ea
...in the back of my mind, I'm also realistic enough to be considering how useful all of this could be for cultivating income from OnlyFans. That's just the state of our current world. I could easily create semi-professional quality OF content and even amateur PH content with my current selection of flash and constant gear.
There's shame alive in me for acknowledging that truth.
Shame where it shouldn't be. This really is life.
