I think one of my deepest concerns, especially around childbirth and being a father/stepfather is that I have a foundational belief that the world is suffering beyond its capacity from the breeding habits of under-educated and unempathetic humans.
This is where I clash with some religions. Some religious beliefs prioritize expansive ignorance and superficial faith... then tack on the breeding kink with a fervor unmatched by their other 'rules.'
From a level of core belief, I believe there's no such thing as progress if all we do is make babies. I believe in education and communication... art and expression... supporting our natural world and doing so with a sober, unclouded mind.
We're all so blinded by pleasures, stress, feeling good and repressing trauma... and I just don't want to participate in all that, especially after almost 40 years lost to the aforementioned conscious shrouds.
I aim for a sober, childfree relationship with a curious and creative friend... lover... partner. Whatever may come, so long as we share foundational values. ...and we care for the children we cross paths with, especially the ones in our families.
Thing is, people don't often want to talk about this. It's easier to subconsciously coerce people into accepting the essential brain-rape of systemic 'guidance' and 'going with the flow' as a dominant system of social governance tosses distractions and manufactured conflict on its people.
I just... don't want that. I'd rather be a support character.
